first solids

here are some pictures of cole's first solids. he loves eating rice cereal now! it also seemed to help him sleep a little better at night. the bumbo seat came in handy, but we are going to go get a highchair, so that he can sit up better. i have a short video but the website won't let me upload it for some reason.

cole's new pastimes involve sticking anything in reach in his mouth, sucking his fingers, and drooling!

macon, georgia

on our trip we ventured down to the macon area to visit our friends and family. cole did great with meeting so many new people. he loved baleigh and carleigh lots. grammy and gramps loved him and spoiled him. aunt laurie couldn't get enough of him. dr. bivins even adopted him and named herself his mee-maw. we had a great time visiting, but wish had been able to stay longer.

georgia!

today we flew to georgia! i had a ton of worries and anxiety about traveling alone with cole and all of the stuff he needs. i was really worried about how he would be on the plane and if i would be that mom with the crying baby. luckily, the trip went great. cole took a short nap and then spent the rest of the flight playing and talking. the best part of the long day was that cole finally got to meet his pop-pop and grammy lynnie.

today we went to have cole's 3 month pictures. i was told it is the norm to do them at birth, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and one year. so i figured i better do it. otherwise knowing me i'd be upset i didn't later down the road. he was in a good little mood, despite the fact that he was up most of the night torturing me! it was quite hard to narrow down my selection, but after the newborn pics i knew i didn't need as many! here are some of my favorites!!

3 months

today cole turned 3 months. i can not believe 3 months has already gone by. he has changed so much from that first day we saw him! he's talking to us all of the time. he gets fussy if we don't help him stand up often. he is grasping toys and playing with everything he can get his hands on. he tries to eat his hands all day long. i think if he could figure out how to find him thumb easily he'd be a thumb sucker. however, hes only found it several times. not only is he still friends with his fishie mobile he has now made friends with the fishies on his bumper in his crib. i wake up each morning to him talking to the fishies. once i hear him talking i know he is ready to get up for the day. if i hear some fussing i know he needs more sleep. i can't get enough of him and definitely couldn't choose just one picture from today.

giggles

the first time we heard cole laugh was actually on christmas night. besides the first time we heard him cry, his laugh was the second best sound. ever since then he laughs almost every night while i undress him and get him into his pjs for bedtime, but no matter how hard i try during the day he will not laugh. brad got him to laugh today with no problem though! i wanted to get it on video, but cole stopped every time i would start recording. this is all i was able to get!

cole has been having a great time with all of his new toys!


here is a short video of him with his kickin' gym. i think he got quiet because of the camera. he is usually a lot chattier with this toy.
